SIP Trunking Benefits

SIP trunking services can provide businesses with a host of benefits, including scalability, increased feature set, and lower costs. With the proper network design and service partners, IP can also provide levels of voice clarity and reliability that equals, or even outperform those of traditional phone service.

Simply integrate SIP with an existing PBX
Designed for global enterprises with a deployed IP PBX, our IP trunking services eliminate the need for additional TDM enterprise gateways or cards and associated maintenance costs, offering inbound and outbound call routing to the PSTN network. You simply connect your IP PBX to the IP network to handle both voice and data traffic, allowing the Verizon VoIP platform to either route those calls across the VoIP VPN to other sites on your network, or out to the PSTN network through a network PSTN gateway. And all your current features are retained – so you can continue to use your current IP PBX equipment.

SIP Trunking Delivers:

Extensive Global Coverage
Broad geographic coverage plans with full service capabilities, including support for number portability and emergency calls solution takes account of country-specific look and feel (e.g., ring tone, dial tone, and language support)

Ease of Migration
Implementations are transparent to end-users, with few (if any) service disruptions.
IP Trunking works with your site’s installed IP PBX and IP telephones—so all the current features are retained
Staff re-training is unnecessary—familiar features and interface remain the same
Interoperability between solutions in our Business portfolio allows you to migrate at your own pace

Efficiency
Works with your site's installed IP PBX and IP telephones
Delivers service via a standards-based SIP trunk directly to your IP PBX

Maintain high performance levels and control costs through more efficient use of bandwidth and elimination of voice circuits
Enables converged access without the need for expensive TDM premises gateway equipment to access PSTN services

Network-based IP features to improve productivity and mobility
Network-based customer dial plans and inbound call routing provide an easy way to add more intelligence to your voice network
Acceptable voice quality is monitored and managed with tools embedded in the network and customer premises equipment
Moves, adds, and changes can be made remotely through an easy-to-use web browser

SIP trunkingQuality of Service (QOS)
Business-Quality Voice is associated with high Quality of Service (QoS).  QOS is a defined level of performance in a network that is measured across three main performance parameters: packet loss, jitter and latency. If problems occur in any of these areas, the primary source of the issues is network congestion.

Congestion occurs when no bandwidth is available or if voice traffic is queued behind lower-priority traffic such as e-mail or Internet browsing.  Voice quality is then negatively affected.

To ensure business class voice, we provides dedicated Internet connectivity from Tier 1 networks, which guarantee minimal latency, packet loss, and jitter. Our Network Service Providers peer nearly 100% of their traffic privately to reduce network hops and avoid congested public peering points, thereby maximizing voice quality
